Beyond the Game: Mental Strategies from EXOS Coach James Leath

James Leath began his mental performance career in a leadership position at IMG Academy in Florida, worked with the Chicago Bulls G League team, and eventually made his way to EXOS Gym in Phoenix, Arizona.

We talk about his transition from personal trainer to mental performance coach, his experience at high-performance facilities, being intentional with culture, the mindset of great athletes and coaches, and the power of team building among other topics. We also discuss his books, public speaking, and work with young athletes through his business Unleash the Athlete. It was an honor having James on the show to share his expertise and insights.

In addition, Todd has obtained a bachelor's in sports and performance psychology and is currently working towards a master's degree in sociology and education.
